The International conference on algebra and geometry is dedicated to the 80-th anniversary of the birth of Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, Professor A.I. Starostin.
The conference is organized by the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences and by the Institute of Mathematics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The conference will be held in Ekaterinburg, at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The conference will include plenary sessions and the following sections: - Group Theory

- Computer and Applied Algebra
- Lie Groups and Algebraic Groups
- Algebraic Geometry
- Linear Algebra and Applications
- Algebraic Graph Theory

Before the conference, on August 14–21, the School on Algebra and Algebraic Geometry will be held at a recreation center near Ekaterinburg. The school will include 6 lecture courses, every course consist of 3 lectures.
